I left, and raced to him, to find him scooping apple crumble and custard out of a bowl with his bare hands very happily. He had a smattering of spots on his back and tummy but seemed fine, other than becoming very tearful when we got home which was perhaps due to the break in routine.
However over the last 48 hours the spots have multiplied and he is now totally covered. He has the worst of them on his back and now several on his face too. He is obviously extremely uncomfortable an unable to sleep for longer than 10 minutes, night or day, before waking up crying. It is breaking my heart and all the usual remedies aren't making a difference.
My poor little man.
The thing that's cheered him up most so far is the discovery of a conference pear, eaten whole, which I'd never thought to give him like that before.
However conference pears, however delicious, are not helpful at 4am when he's writhing around sobbing :(
Did your ones get chicken pox? Any tips?
Thanks for reading.
